The Whisky Isle

Whisky is a big part of Islay life and Islay Malts are famous all over the World.

Known for their smoky, or 'peaty' flavour, Islay malts are some of the most distinctive expressions of the spirit produced anywhere.

There are nine world renowned distilleries on Islay: Bruichladdich, Kilchoman, Ardbeg, Lagavulin, Bunnahabhain, Caol Ila, Laphroaig, Bowmore and Ardnahoe. Each has its own unique style and character, but most importantly they all reflect the true spirit of Islay.
