Stalking & Shooting
Islay's moorland and farmland carry healthy populations of red deer, and the island's estates offer stalking through the season. Walked-up game shooting over pointers — snipe, woodcock and duck depending on the time of year — is available through local operators. The terrain is wild, the solitude is genuine, and the island's scale means a full day in the field rarely involves seeing anyone else.
Islay House can make introductions to the right estates and operators, and help arrange the logistics — ghillies, transport and equipment hire where required. We know the island well and can match your party to the right experience. Please contact us in advance of your stay with details of your group and the dates you have in mind.
These can be arranged via email or phone — please contact us after booking.Other attractions
